The rich and fertile basalt (bazelet in Hebrew) soil, specific local climatic conditions, and meticulous, natural production processes are the real secrets of this winery.
In 1998, after many years of amateur wine making, Yoav Levy decided to expand his activities to a boutique winery. In 2000, a plot of land at the front edge of the moshav was allocated, and it was here that he built the present winery.
Levy produces modest quantities, concentrating on the production of wine mainly from the noblest wine grape of all - Cabernet Sauvignon - and aiming for the best possible quality.
There is a strong belief at this winery in an profound connection with the Golan Heights region, which inspired the design of the label, bearing natural scenes from the nearby site of ancient Gamla. The seal bears a portrait of Dionysus, the ancient Greek god of wine, agriculture, fertility of nature, and father of festivities, joie de vivre and endless celebration.
