IEC(Israel Electric Corporation), one of the largest industrial companies in Israel, was established in 1923. The company is a sole vertically integrated electrical utility in the state of Israel and as sole electrical utility in Israel, IEC is responsible for the Gross "Electrical Energy chain" in the country.

Planning, Design, Construction, Operation and Maintain the system (Power Generation, Electric Energy Transmission & Distribution and all Customers supply services) in Secure and Safety mode.

Generation -10,900 MW installed Capacity based on more then 50 units. Steam Power Plants (Coal, Fuel oil and Natural gas fired units), Jet and Industrial Gas Turbine and Combined Cycle units. Total yearly production (2006) 50,400 millions KWH.

Transmission - more then 5,050 k"m of High-High Voltage lines (400 kV & 161 kV), Substations with 15 MvA transmission capacity.

Distribution - more then 44,000 transformers for more then 2.3 million High & Low voltage customers.

Customer Services - 5 different districts with industrial, commercial and urban characteristics with a national customer services center.
