Ramot Naftaly Winery is a small boutique winery, which produces about 10,000 bottles each year and is considered as a high quality winery. The grapes from which the wine is made are grown in an area with very unique conditions for red wine making in terms of growth and climate change. The area is called "Kedesh Valley" and is considered as one of the best growth areas in Israel.
The tour begins in a short introduction and a tour in the vineyard which is located next to the winery while the visitors receive explanation on the wine making process, starting from the harvest (in the vineyard) up to the bottling (in the winery). In the end the visitors can enjoy wine tasting along with some appetizers.
Our wine making process:
the grapes are harvested by hand in the early hours of the morning and transferred to a refrigerated room, in the evening they are sorted by hand and after going through the crusher-stemmer machines, they are moved to a temperature-controlled fermentation tanks for 3-4 weeks. The mostly new French oak barrels are stored in a chilled room, where the wine is aged in the barrels for 10-20 months. The winery uses the most advanced, state-of-the-art technological equipment.
