It all started when Gabi and Avi Nachmias, father and son, third generation to a family of farmers who founded Moshav Kerem Ben Zimra in the Upper Galilee, read an article about the healing attributes of the pomegranate fruit which compelled them to try and develop a unique variety of the pomegranate fruit.
Laboratory tests found that it was suitable for production of unique quality wine.
2,000 bottles of dessert wine which was greatly appreciated by everyone who tasted it. They decided in 2004 to establish a commercial production line of dessert and dry wines.
