Canada Park is a favorite destination for picnickers from Israel`s central region, only a twenty-minute drive from Tel-Aviv.
Until 1967, the Arabs were able to endanger the old Tel Aviv – Jerusalem highway by taking advantage of the hills around the site and their commanding view of the valley. The Israeli Army captured the region on the second day of the Six Day War. Thanks to the generous support of Canadian friends of KKL-JNF, a 7,000 dunam park was established at the site, which fittingly was named "Canada Park".
