American Independence Park is in the Jerusalem Hills near Moshav Nes Harim and Moshav Bar Giora.
The veteran woodland is a popular base for trips to some of the finest natural assets in central Israel, such as the Ktalav Riverbed, stalagmite caves, the Beit Atav Ruins and the Twin Caves riverbed.
The park, named for the U.S. bicentennial, comprises two wheelchair-access recreation areas. The larger one is the Hadassah Recreation Area, sponsored by Hadassah Pioneer Women of America and JNF of America.
