Church Of St. Gabriel

Church Of St. Gabriel

A little less than a quarter of a mile away lays the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Gabriel which houses the ancient source of water for the local well in Nazareth.

To the left is the beautifully decorated iconostasis behind which the altar is located.

Below to the left is the grotto where the ancient spring is located and to the right is the area where one can lower a tin cup into the well to secure fresh spring water.

The Greek Orthodox Church hold that the Annunciation took place at this site.
