First Station Of The Cross

First Station - Jesus is condemned to death.

Via Dolorosa begins near the Lion Gate of the Old City, close to the school of Al-Omari.

This is the First Stop of the Cross Road.
At this place, by tradition, was the Roman praetor.
In its north-eastern corner was the tower of Antonia, where the Roman procurator Pontius Pilate condemned Jesus.
