Easter Tour 2012






31st March, 2012 - Arrive in the Holy Land
After arrive at Ben Gurion Airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
1st April, 2012 - Palm Sunday – Bethlehem, Jerusalem
In the morning drive to Bethlehem and the birthplace of Jesus at the Church of Nativity and the Shepherds fields. Drive back to Jerusalem to the Mount of Olives and begin the Palm Sunday walk to the Old City of Jerusalem. Enter the Old City following the procession of the many tourists visiting the Old City on this special Sunday. Visit the Western Wall. Back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
2nd April, 2012 - Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Tiberius
This morning you will drive along the coastal road to Caesarea to visit the excavations of these Roman and Crusader ruins. Continue on to Muhraka, where Elijah confronted the priests of Baal. From there drive to Mt. Tabor - the site of the Miracle of the Transfiguration. Drive to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
3rd April, 2012 - Cana, Nazareth, Yardenit
Begin the day with a visit to the Church of the First Miracle in Cana where Jesus turned water into wine. From there drive to the Basilica of Annunciation in Nazareth and visit Mary‘s Well. Continue on to Yardenit which is the traditional Baptism site on the Jordan River. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
4th April, 2012 - Boat Ride, Capernaum, Mt. of Beatitudes, Tabgha.
After breakfast enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit Capernaum and see the Synagogue and the house. From there drive to the site where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount - the Mount of Beatitudes. Then on to Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of the Multiplication. Drive along the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem and check into your hotel for dinner and overnight.
5th April. 2012 - Jericho, Qumran, Dead Sea.
In the morning drive to visit the oldest city in the world – Jericho. See the Sycamore Tree and view the Mount of Temptation. Continue to the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Continue on to the Dead Sea to enjoy floating in waters which have amazing healing powers. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
6th April. 2012 - Good Friday. Old City of Jerusalem
After breakfast return to the Mount of Olives for a visit of the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Enter the old city and visit the Pools of Bethesda and the Church of St. Anne. Follow the Stations of the C along the Via Dolorosa. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. In the afternoon visit Mt. Zion, the Hall of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey. Continue to the Church of St. Peter in Galicantu, built on the site of the house of the High Priest Caiaphas. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
7th April, 2012 - Emmaus, Ein Karem.
Begin the day with a visit to ancient Emmaus. Drive on to the birthplace of St John the Baptist - Ein Karem. Visit the Church of Visitation where Mary visited her cousin, Elizabeth. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
8th April, 2012 - Easter Sunday
This morning return to the old city of Jerusalem to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to join in the Mass on this special Sunday. Afterwards wander around the bazaars of the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk along the Cardo, ancient Roman Road. Visit Yad Vashem, Holocaust Memorial. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
9th April. 2012 - Morning at leisure - Departure.
After breakfast, day at leisure until time for departure to Airport for your flight home.
